Katerina as an educator

My teaching philosophy

My teaching philosophy centers on empathy, continuous improvement, and active student engagement. I believe in placing students at the heart of the learning experience, recognizing their individual complexities and the impact that both academic and personal challenges can have on their daily lives. Having experienced diverse educational systems as a student myself, I aim to bring a blend of best practices to my teaching, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. My role as a student representative has further honed my ability to listen to student feedback and implement changes that enhance the academic experience, including organizing seminars, workshops, and social activities that promote inclusiveness and professional development.   

Since September 2022, I have served as a postgraduate tutor at Cardiff Business School, delivering tutorials across six marketing and management modules at undergraduate and master’s levels. My ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning preferences and cultural backgrounds has been well-received, as evidenced by positive student feedback and teaching evaluations available upon request. My commitment to pedagogical excellence is reinforced by gaining a status of  Associate Fellow of Advance Higher Education, highlighting my dedication to ongoing professional development in teaching.
